Tawny Owls (Strix Aluco) are a medium sized bird of prey. They have mostly brown, white, gray, tan and black feathers. They have a wing span of up to 100cm and are around 40cm tall. They eat mostlysmall rodents such as mice and vole, they also eat some types of insects. Their major predators are hawks, eagles and buzzards. Tawny Owls are secondary consumers, they eat primary consumers and plants, so are also omnivores. Tawny Owls live mostly in Europe and Asia. The habitat that they live in is mostly dense forests and open woodlands. Owls are known for their great hearing and eyesight.
